Sara Lifshitz
Resume
I was born in Israel. Second generation of holocaust survivors. For 25 years I have been teaching Hebrew literature, grammar and Bible studies. I was mentored by number of artists, and in the institute of art in Ramat-Hasharon. In the last 10 years I have been painting at the studio of the painter and sculpture Lioa-Terkel Shwartz, in Ramat Gan.
I am using mainly acrylic paints, large canvases, and bold colors. The subject matter of my paintings is mainly my close vicinity – Israel landscape, form and figurative. The paintings are an emotional, subjective interpretation of the subject matter. The basic process of building the composition is made by applying massive and expressive layers of Gesso. Lately, I started creating 2 dimensional theme paintings forchildren.
